Have you ever wondered what was Adolf Hitler’s job before becoming a politician? Well, as strange as it may sound, the infamous Nazi leader, was actually a painter.
During his lifetime, especially before becoming the National Socialist German Workers’ Party leader, Hitler produced hundreds of paintings and postcards. Many of them were sold during his Vienna years but, in general, he was not very successful.
After WWII though, a number of his paintings have been sold at auctions for tens of thousands of dollars and now belong to private collections. Others were seized by the U.S. Army and, up to this day, are held by the U.S. government. Here are some of his paintings:
