Stories with startup founders are often quite crazy but this one is a bit more bizarre than what you often read on the media. I mean, it earned a place on I’m A Useless Info Junkie so it has to be super weird.
In 2012, Eric Simons secretly lived in AOL’s headquarters for two full months in Palo Alto, California. He ate free food and other snacks left out for employees, used the gym and showers and even slept in the conference room all while working on his own startup (@GoThinkster). Everyone just assumed that he worked there!
He was eventually discovered two months later by a security guard that came up early for work and found him sleeping on a couch.
