While getting ready for Game of Throne’s Season 7 premiere, we had a look at the popular book series and tried to find the differences between the series cast and the characters as described in George RR Martin’s masterpieces.
Well, you would be surprised to know that there are some very notable differences in the majority of the cast! In fact, there are a few circumstances when book hero and movie hero don’t match at all.
Here are some of our favorite examples: (the article continues after the ad)
Yara actually has black, short cut hair while her face is harder with a thicker nose and a thinner face.
Bran has blue eyes and auburn hair – just like the Tullys.
Brienne of Tarth
Brienne has blue eyes, a crooked nose, a wider mouth and swollen lips, with freckles speckling her cheeks.
Our favorite Khaleesi has violet eyes and her hair were burned twice – when she hatched her dragons and when she escaped Meereen’s fighting pits on Drogon.
Jorah in the books is balding and with darker hair, beard and chest hair.
Book-Ramsay has long and shaggy hair, a wider nose and lighter eyes.
Tyrion has “platinum blond” hair and only half of his nose. The other half is missing since the Battle of the Blackwater.
Tywin’s almost bald but he has a thicker beard.
Carice van Houten is just perfect for the role of Melisandre. The only difference from the books is the eye color – Melisandre has amber red eyes, not blue.
Novel based Lysa is in fact, overweight and puffy with light blue eyes (not green eyes).
