Google’s “Death Benefits” Are Almost Hard To Believe

We all know that Google is considered among the best employers in the world. But when we read about the death benefits they offer to their deceased employees, i think we can all agree that they have no competition.

In an interview with Forbes, Laszlo Bock, Senior Vice President of People Operations at Google, analysed Google’s unusual “death benefits” which include the following:

  • The deceased’s spouse will get 50% of their salary for 10 years
  • Each of his/her child gets $1,000 per month until age 19, or age 23 for full-time students
  • All of the dead Google’s stocks vest immediately

Oh, and please note that these benefits aren’t just for longtime employees; you are entitled to them as soon as you start working there.

Now that’s what i call benefits!
