This Is Why Beatle’s “I Am The Walrus” Was Intentionally Written With Meaningless Lyrics

Have you ever tried to analyze Beatle’s “I Am The Walrus” lyrics? Well, if you did, unless you are one of those people who always find a deep meaning to everything they read, then you are in for a big surprise; the lyrics make absolutely no sense!

But don’t worry, it’s not just you. As it turns out the lyrics were intentionally meant to be meaningless

Here’s the story of one of music’s biggest hoaxes. (the article continues after the ad)

In 1967, John Lennon received a letter from a student telling him that his English teacher made them analyze The Beatles’ lyrics. Amused by the story, Lennon went on and composed “I Am The Walrus” with intentionally meaningless and confusing lyrics in an effort to baffle those who tried to analyze the song!

Trolling at its best!

By the way, if you are curious (i know you are), here are the lyrics of the song:

I am he as you are he as you are me
And we are all together
See how they run like pigs from a gun
See how they fly
I’m crying
Sitting on a cornflake
Waiting for the van to come
Corporation T-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday
Man you’ve been a naughty boy
You let your face grow long
I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Goo goo g’ joob
Mr. City policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row
See how they fly like Lucy in the sky
See how they run
I’m crying
I’m crying, I’m crying, I’m crying
Yellow matter custard
Dripping from a dead dog’s eye
Crabalocker fishwife
Pornographic priestess
Boy, you’ve been a naughty girl
You let your knickers down
I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Goo goo g’ joob
Sitting in an English garden
Waiting for…
