Most people are not aware of this but Jaguars in the wild are known for frequently getting high by eating hallucinogenic roots.
More specifically, they eat the roots of the Caapi plant, a plant that’s high in Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) chemicals. The same chemicals that we use for the treatment of depression. But they don’t just do it to hallucinate. It is proven that these chemicals increase their senses for hunting making them extremely aware of their surroundings.
Just like normal junkies.
