3 Ridiculously Simple Ways Of Killing Unpleasant Shoe Odor

Before throwing away your smelly pair of sneakers, try these 3 simple ways of getting rid of the unpleasant odors by using common, everyday kitchen items:

1. Use tea bags

Simply add 2-3 tea bags in each shoe and let them sit for at least 48 hours in a dry environment. Preferably, use black tea as it contains tannic acid, a powerful bacteria killer. Tea bags will absorb the bad smell, leaving you with a stank-free, tea-smelling shoe!

2. Use baking soda

Add a generous amount of baking soda into the offending footwear and let them sit overnight. In the morning, just remove the excess powder and you’re done! The baking soda will get rid of the unpleasant odors, and it will also absorb any excess moisture, thus preventing the problem from reoccurring. (the article continues after the ad)

3. Use salt

Just like baking soda, using salt on sneakers or other canvas shoes, will absorb the bad smell and soak up the moisture.
