Scientists have been long trying to understand near death experiences and what actually happens inside a dying mind. Why some people see a white light when they die? Or why do they believe they visited heaven or float over their bodies?
An interesting video produced by The Atlantic, tries to shed a light on what happens inside a dying brain based on empirical investigation of near-death experiences. Even though more research must be pursued on the subject, the video does answer some of the mysteries surrounding near death experiences:
