The City Of Cincinnati, Ohio Has A Hidden Subway That Was Built, Never Used And Left Abandoned

In the city of Cincinnati, Ohio there is a subway system that was built, never used and left abandoned.

More than 100 years ago, in the early 1900s, the residents of Cincinnati, Ohio had the dream of building an underground trail. The project started in 1916 but, due to the several reasons, such as a change in politics and a decision to stop rapid transit construction as well as the Great Depression, it was stopped after completing 6 stations, a total of 6 miles of infrastructure and 2.2 miles of underground tunnels.

In the decades to follow, citizens attempted several times to revive the project, but it was never completed. (the article continues after the ad)
