The Amazing Way Disney Was Filming Animation Movies Back In The Day

Animating movies may look simple today (i mean, even your smartphone can create one), but this wasn’t always the case.

Before the computer age, Disney studios were using the rotoscoping technique to create animation movies like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan. The unbelievable thing about the rotoscoping technique is that it involves live-action reference: the film scenes were filmed with real actors and sets and were then used by the Disney animators to create the cartoon movements and drawings.
