What you are looking at is not a painting. It’s actually a completely real photo that has not been retouched or photoshopped in any way.
The photograph has been taken by Frans Lanting, a photographer for National Geographic magazine. It shows the camel thorn trees of Naukluft Park in Namibia and yes, they look surreal, we know. There’s a pretty good reason why this picture looks this way though. The backdrop is a sand dune and the ground is blue from the shadow of the early morning sun.
