In 2009, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a veto regarding a bill he considered unworthy and wrote a letter to the lawmaker explaining the reason for his action. Pretty normal, right? Well, yes, except the note contained a hidden message.
Buried in the text, the message was directed at the author of the bill, Tom Ammiano, with whom Schwarzenegger already had a dispute a few months earlier when Ammiano criticized him and reportedly said “kiss my gay ass”. So, can you find the secret code that’s embedded in the letter:
You didn’t find anything suspicious? Thats because the message is indeed well hidden. Just give it another try or scroll down for the answer which was first pointed out by The Bay Guardian: (the article continues after the ad)
When you read the letters on the left side of the letter, it clearly reads “Fuck You”. In fact, the language is so convoluted that’s really hard not to believe that they were placed there intentionally.
Schwarzenegger denied it though. When asked if this was done on purpose, his spokesman said only “what a coincidence”!
But let’s assume that this was indeed a coincidence. What are the chances of it happening unintentionally?
According to Supervisor David Chiu who did the math, the chance of this happening is one out 8,031,810,176 (1/26 chance for each letter to be in that specific position).
